ATLANTA FALCONS (No First Round Selection)
The Falcons plan to visit with WR Arnaz Battle (Notre Dame) and TE
L.J. Smith (Rutgers). However, their recent signing of WR/KR MarTay
Jenkins (Cardinals) along with their previous trade for WR Peerless
Price (Bills) will probably push them out of their interest for
Battle as time goes along. While teams can always use some solid
young depth at receiver, the Falcons have previously made moves to
address doing just that. Defense is another area, though, and they
have expressed a serious interest in CB Chris Kern (Mt. Union).
MIAMI DOLPHINS (No First Round Selection)
The Dolphins would reportedly like to spend at least one mid-round
selection on a linebacker this year. They're slim at the position and
would also like to push weakside linebacker Derrick Rodgers for the
starting job ... The team plans to have a pre-draft visit with S
Corey Jenkins (South Carolina University).
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (No First Round Selection)
With the team already having QB Brad Johnson on roster, the additions
of Shane Matthews (Redskins) and Jim Miller (Bears), and the likely
return of Shaun King, it's starting to appear quarterback will not be
on the Buccaneers' wish list come draft day.
