CINCINNATI BENGALS (No. 1 First Round Selection)
Which way should we go ... which way should we go? So many options,
so many holes and so little time to make what will probably be a $60
million decision. The Bengals have the ability to start negotiating
with players at any time since they own the first-overall selection;
however they are waiting for the right time, situation and player
before they do so. The team has shot down speculation that they had
already begun talks with some prospects about deals. QB Carson Palmer
(USC), WR Charles Rogers (Michigan State) and CB Terrence Newman
(Kent State) are all possible options for the team with the No. 1
pick. Then again, so is trading down to a team that has two picks.
Palmer will have a pre-draft visit with the team, as will QB Byron
Leftwich (Marshall); plus the team spent significant time with Rogers
and want him to come in for a pre-draft visit ... In other prospect
news, the team had representatives in attendance at OT Courtney Van
Buren's (Arkansas Pine Bluff) recent workout.

DETROIT LIONS (No. 2 First Round Selection)
The Lions are showing a serious interest in CB Chris Kern (Mt. Union).

HOUSTON TEXANS (No. 3 First Round Selection)
The Texans had both general manager Charley Casserly and head coach
Dom Capers in attendance at Arizona State's Pro Day to check out DE
Terrell Suggs. As mentioned previously, Suggs' workout was far from
dominating or impressive ... DT Johnathan Sullivan (Georgia) and DE
Osi Umeyiora (Troy State) are both scheduled to have pre-draft visits
with the team.

CHICAGO BEARS (No. 4 First Round Selection)
The Bears have explored options of trading down, but they may be
second-guessing that now that QB Kyle Boller (California) is seeing
his stock quickly rise. The Bears have reportedly fallen hard for the
strong-armed signal caller but there's a chance he won't be available
to them should they drop to the middle of the first round ...
Speaking of looking around for a trade, the Bears have reportedly
been in contact with the New York Jets, New England Patriots and New
Orleans Saints about moving around in the draft. All three teams have
two first-round selections ... In other prospect news, the Bears are
showing a serious interest in CB Chris Kern (Mt. Union).

ARIZONA CARDINALS (No. 6 First Round Selection)
The Cardinals are entering the NFL Draft with defensive linemen on
their mind. While Arizona State DE Terrell Suggs' workout was far
from ideal, it may be music to the Cardinals' ears. According to
sources close to the situation, the Cardinals would be delighted to
see Suggs fall to the No. 6 overall spot in the first round. Whether
or not the poor workout will have that happen remains to be seen, but
it's now a much stronger possibility than it was previous to his
workouts.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS (No. 7 First Round Selection)
The Vikings would still like to improve their defensive line,
especially their pass rush. They sent defensive coordinator George
O'Leary to Arizona State's workout to watch DE Terrell Suggs.
However, the workout by Suggs more than likely gave O'Leary little to
rush back to the team and brag about ... In other prospect news, the
Vikings worked out OT Jake Kuppe (Minnesota) on March 21 and head
coach Mike Tice was in attendance; OT Adam Goldberg (Wyoming) also
had a workout with the team.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (No. 8 First Round Selection)
The Jaguars offensive line isn't an area of depth for the team at
this time, which could force them to turn towards that position
during the upcoming draft. The Jaguars are reportedly focusing on OT
Jordan Gross (Utah) ... The team also had representatives in
attendance at OT Courtney Van Buren's (Arkansas Pine Bluff)
workout ... DT Johnathan Sullivan (Georgia) has received some
interest from the team and they may have a pre-draft visit with
him ... QB Rob Adamson (Mt. Union), whom everyone seems to be paying
attention to lately, also had Jaguar representatives at his workout
at Kent State.

CAROLINA PANTHERS (No. 9 First Round Selection)
As previously mentioned, the Panthers are not out of the loop when it
comes to looking for quarterbacks despite their re-signing of Rodney
Peete and the signing of free agent Jake Delhomme (Saints). With
Chris Weinke's future with the team in question, the team is looking
at rookie QB prospects. The team sent representatives to Kent State
to watch Mt. Union QB Rob Adamson's workout.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (No. 11 First Round Selection)
The Seahawks had representatives at the workouts for QB Rob Adamson
(Mt. Union) and OT Courtney Van Buren (Arkansas Pine Bluff) ... They
also had RB Chad Brinker (Ohio University) in for a pre-draft workout.
