Here in the table tennis academy, lessons, skills, and tips are posted often.
These postings can be helpful to table tennis players of all stages.

This lesson regards the most basic thing about
table tennis, defining your grip. There are two ways of
holding a ping pong paddle: Penhold and Shakehands. One
method is named penhold because you hold the paddle as
you would a pen. Shakehands is just as it name
sounds: like you're shaking hands with the paddle. There
are different types of paddles designed for both
grips. There are positive and negative sides to both.
With penhold, you have more range with everystroke and
more angles to choose from without shifting your
hitting position. It is also a very good grip for
chopping (a type of shot discussed in lesson 2). The
downside to the penhold is that in a high-speed advanced
match, it is often harder to switch between forehand and
backhand sides. When using Shakehands, the positive point
is that it is more versatile. You can switch easily
between both sides and cover the table easier. The
downside to the shakehands method is that if jammed down
the middle, it is much harder to hit a good shot
because of the nature of the grip. Also, when hitting a
shot, the choices of direction are not as numerous as
the penhold grip. Both grips are great, and they both
have they strong and weak points. It's left up to you
to decide what grip you want. I will discuss
strategies with both grips in later lessons.

Wow,        what a blast, what a trip actually. was  kind of getting bored with
