Temporary Court in Hawthorne, NV   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #40 of 47 |
I have posted all the details on http://usapa.org/ptp/index.php?code=NV&order= .  In essence, we turned one of two abandoned/unused high school tennis courts into a temporary pickleball court.

9-19-07 we got up at 6:20a, got to "our" makeshift court and played 4 games, School does not open for classes until 8:45a, so we had plenty of time. We had a ball!  The elementary kids on skateboards all congregate at the basketball court over at that school.  The teens in high school all must congregate at the student car parking lot on the other end (S) of the high school.  Several teachers parked on the N end and no one seemed to care who we were or what we were doing.  We know we can get there by 7a and play 3-5 games now, with us bothering no one.  Heck, most school kids not into formal competitive sports are only interested in skateboards and Gameboys, it seems from watching them arrive before school today.  Dave
