Having problems with message search?
Hello,
I am a new member of this group. We are just completing 2 weeks at
St. Clair TTN park. A group of us, most of whom met in Fl., have been
here to visit and play pickleball. The park has 2 good pickleball
courts. We got the manager to add a fence on the back side so that we
don't have to chase balls. We have had 20 or more people playing most
days. We had a tournament today. We also taught several new players.
The plan at this point is to meet at about the same time next year -
early august. The Michigan Senior Olympics will be near here about
that time and the suggestion has been to have a group here at the same
time so that those who want can enter the Senior Olympics - Michigan
includes pickleball but not as a medal event.
It looks to me like many members of this group are TTN members.
Perhaps we can use it to let each other know when and where members
are playing pickleball.

Good idea, Dennis. Are you on the TTN members Yahoo? If not, can I post your report there? And here is our recent one to that list a week ago for Bend-Sunriver TTN:
There are 4 nice pickleball courts, 3 permanent and 1 also used as a half-court basketball court. The other half of that open court is 1 of the 4 courts, the other 2 being inside a nice fenced area, along with 1 tennis court. No lighting for night play, but the courts are of good surface, well-painted, with good nets. There are a number of picnic tables along the fence and a shade gazebo over a couple of them.
We played 3 singles games Sat. at 11 a.m. Another couple was playing tennis, then played some singles pickleball on the other fenced court. My guess is the 2 fenced pickleball courts were formerly where a 2nd tennis court once was located, a nice 2-4-1 trade due to the national growth of pickleball playing versus tennis. One guy playing with his daughter said the regulars play at 9 a.m., which is typical. On Sun. we again hit the courts at 11 a.m. for more good pickleball play. Carl, one of the Recreation folks, said they had had a big pickleball tournament here over the 4th of July.
