while it isn't the all-pennsylvania bowl i was hoping for, Super Bowl XLIII promises to be a classic. can the #1 defense in the world stop a quick-paced, high-flying arizona offense? will hines ward come back healthy? will the steelers former offensive coordinator have their number? will an official call holding on whatever poor sap has to block james harrison? will ben roethlisberger live down is much-critiqued play in Super Bowl XL? will mike tomlin silence the cynics by out-coaching ken whisenhunt? will larry fitzgerald shock the world by out-playing limus sweed…?
in all seriousness, there aren’t many people who imagined the steelers making the super bowl when the schedules were released back in april. some of the wins were ugly, but that’s steeler football – a tenacious, physical, blue-collar approach, ill-designed for blowout wins.
while we can expect tomlin to bring his team to tampa focused, there’s over a week to get hyped for the game. why not bring that energy over to Fox and Hound on February 1st? plan to arrive early, as the place will be rocking.
