I have taken the plunge.  Park Forest Police and Fire have a team that is participating in the 2005 St. Baldrick's fund raiser.  I've decided to join them.  A bit of informatio on St. Baldrics from their web page:

 

Q. What is St. Baldrick’s?
A.St. Baldrick's is a whimsical twist on St. Patrick's Day - when brave volunteers agreed to shave their heads bald to raise funds for childhood cancer research.

Q. Where does the money go?
A.The primary beneficiary of St. Baldrick's is CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation - which supports CureSearch Children's Oncology Group - the world's foremost childhood cancer research organization.

I have set a fund raising goal of $1,000, and the event is next Friday, March 11.  IF I reach my fund raising goal, then the hair is gone.
