I am sending this out on behalf of Save Mount Diablo. I have helped
with this event for at least the past 10 years. I cannot help this
year, but am passing this info on to you:
Save Mount Diablo is getting ready for the Mount Diablo Challenge: a
bike ride from Athenian to the summit of Diablo this Sunday, October
1. To get ready we could use some help in the office as well as the
day of the event.
Please let me know if you, your friend, neighbor, spouse or parent
is able to help us for a few hours on the following days:
Wednesday, September 27 between 9 am and 3 pm Thursday, September 28
between 9 am and 4 pm Friday, September 29 between 8 am and 7 pm
Saturday, September 30 between 9 am and 5 pm
Even a few hours would be appreciated! There are many tasks here at
the office in Walnut Creek (1901 Olympic Blvd., St 220), as well as
errands to run and signs to post.
On Event Day, Sunday October 1, we still are looking for volunteers
for the following time slots:
5:30 am - 9 am: parking and traffic direction (report at Athenian at
5:30
am)
6:30 am - 9 am: registration of cyclist at Athenian School
7 am - noon: help at the summit with Jersey sales (Note: you have to
leave from Athenian no later than 7 am and cannot come down the
mountain before
noon!)
10 am - 1 pm: traffic control, report at Athenian at 10 am.
If you can help, please email Julie at jseelen@...
