The Martinez Police are now citing bicyclists who blow through stop
signs.

I just watched an officer pull over and cite this poor guy on a
mountain bike. The officer, with ticket book in hand, walked up to
the guy and said "I'm glad to see that you're wearing all of the
safety equipment, but you still need to stop at stop signs." Then
wrote him a ticket.

I have lived in this town for 5 years and worked here for 6 and have
never seen a Martinez cop get out of his car for this, except where
the person was known to the cop.

I am planning to talk with my city council representive.
