Don't Draft McGahee in 1st Rd   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #2722 of 16737 |
Two reasons ...

1.) If he isn't selected high enough, or offered
enough money (like a top ten pick) he will not sign,
sit out and rehab the year. He would then be eligible
to be re-drafted the next year.

2.) The risk is not worth it! He has a severe medical
injury, the same as Robert Edwards. It took him two
to three years to come back.

I believe that the Pats and BB allowed the story that
they worked him out to be leaked by his agent to throw
off other teams interested in him. This establishes
the pats as intereted enouh to possibly take him at
#50 or even at #19. Oakland may have to trade up from
#32 to say #18 to take him ahead of the Pats.

If we have multiple picks in Rd 2 (from NO for
Tebucky, then we should take the gamble and take him).
