Hey guys, the Parkside Rugby Club recently debuted its

There is an entire section devoted to the Alumni and
I'd like to expand it and get it even bigger.  What I
need from you guys is some basic bio info.

Sorry folks, I seem to have omitted 2 matches from the
"finalized" schedule that should have been played and

Hey guys, there is a practice today from 5:30 till
dark at Petrifying Springs Park.  All are welcome.  We
will just be playing some touch and going over the
basics of 7s rugby.  The Kenosha Vultures, Parkside
Ruggers, and hopefully some Rac/Ken old boys will be
there.  Plpease join us.

On Thursday, we are meeting at the Parkside Rugby
Field at 3 PM where we will load the uprights into Joe
Bullis's truck, transport them to Pershing Park in
Racine, put them up, stripe the field, and then have
practice till dark.

Hope to see all of you at practices this week,
especailly the Parkside guys who expect to play.

Hey guys, Milwaukee RFC committed a second side and
since we aren't going to put Milwaukee RFC A and B in
the same bracket, we flipped flopped Ft. Wayne to Pool
A (they still have a later first match time) and put
Milwaukee RFC B in Pool B.  Everyone will get 4 pool
play matches at least.  After Pool Play, the bottom
teams from each Pool will be done, but the top 2 will
move on to the championship round and the middle
3rd/4th place teams from each bracket will move on to
the consolation bracket.  Again, I thank you all for
prepaying and/or RSVPing with us.

See you all Saturday at 9 AM sharp!

Hey folks, the 9th Annual Harborfest 7s is a mere week
away.  As promised, the brackets have been drawn up
(tenatively) and are attached to this email.  As you
can see, team #10 is in limbo right now as I hear back
from the C side C Men from Dubuque.  Should your team
have guys that are itching to play, but you don't have
a ton of room for them, my hunch is we will have a
team comprised of whores so please feel free to bring
as many guys as want to play.  I know Northern
Michigan is going to send a couple guys but not enough
for a team.

The captains meeting is at 9 AM.  I know rugby time is
usually a half hour to an hour later, but we really
will be having our captains meeting at 9 AM.  To those
who like to arrive late, maybe just tell yourself the
captains meeting is at 8:30 and then you can
fashionably show up "late" and actually be on time at
9.  The first match will begin promptly at 9:30.  As
you can see, I took into account geography and the
Milwaukee/Parkside/Kenosha based teams play first.
For teams that don't play right away, it's OK if your
team isn't all there during the captains meeting, but
you do need at least one team representative at the
captains meeting.

To receive the free entry in Harborfest for you and a
guest, along with the free food and drink tickets, you
will need to fill out a roster form we will be handing
out at the captains meeting.  When you actually try to
get into Harborfest, you will need a photo ID to prove
who you are so no need to write down fake names to try
to get more tickets or gain admission.  It's not wise
to try to scam more tickets then you are entitled to
as this will sour our tournament's relationship as a
whole with Harborfest if we are blamed and we could
potentially lose this perk if we, or any team at our
tournament, abuse it.

The plan of action for the day is captains meeting at
9:00, first match at 9:30, playoffs for consolation
and championship bracket begin at 3:45 with the
tournament concluding sometime after 5:00.  There will
be concessions sold all day and during the
championship match, a free grillout will commence.  We
have a very limited amount of unique Harborfest 7s
t-shirts available so I'd get them early.  We will
also be selling Parkside Rugby jerseys, past
Harborfest t-shirts, and other rugby related
merchandise.

For those who remember past year, the Racine
Lighthouse Run was always that same weekend as
Harborfest which sometimes meant having to turn on a
couple sidestreets to get there on time.  Luckily this
year, the Lighthouse Run is run today so there will be
no conflict with athletic events next year.  Please
leave enough time to get to the pitch on time.

After the cookout has concluded, most of us make our
way to Harborfest and after Harborfest ends, we will
be heading to our team bar, Murphy's, on Sheridan Rd.
in Kenosha.  For those who are traveling from afar,
please make arrangements with hotels and if you need
taxis, Kenosha has them.

Hey old guys!  In 5 days, we get to reconvene, play a
little rugby, and catch up on old times.  That's
right, it's the first ever alumni match!  This
Saturday, May 5th, at 3:30 PM at the Parkside Rugby
Field, us old guys will take on the current team.
It's all in fun and won't be all that physically
demanding.  Murphy is providing us with jerseys that
we can keep when the match is over and the aftermatch
will be at Murphy's Pub and Grill, a family friendly
place so I encourage you to bring kids and wives and
boyfriends if you have them.  This is what I have as a
list of people we are expecting.  We also will be
getting help from the Racine/Kenosha Oldboys if we
need help with numbers.  If you are under the list of

Hey guys, the 1st Annual Parkside Men's Rugby Alumni
match which is on Saturday, May 5th, 2007 at 3:30 PM
at the Parkside Rugby Field is only 1 month from
today!

I've slowly be trying to get ahold of more and more
alums.  I know we will have a solid 15-20 and the
Racine/Kenosha old boys are going to come too and help
out.  It's gonna be a glorious day of rugby guys.

What do you need to bring?

Your families, kids, rugby boots if you got them, some
shorts, and socks.  Doc Murphy is donating a set of
jersies for the alumni to wear.  The aftermatch is at
Murphy's Pub and Grill which is one of our main
sponsors.

Please make sure you have May 5th written down on the
calendar.  Even if you can't play, or don't want to
actually play, come and gather with your rugby
brethren, even on the sidelines if necessary.

The only guy who said he for sure can't make it is
Mark Senske which made me cry a little into my beer.
Perhaps next year Mark!

We are still looking for the whereabouts of other guys
like Chris Kupper, Jim Kipp, Kevin Scott, Jason Maye,
Dan Elsinger, Eric Forward, Glenn Shoen, Wade Helding,
and Brandon Sielen.

Let me know if you know where any of these guys are!

Hey ruggers, attached to this email is an email from
Chris Bauer, former 8 man of the Parkside rugby team.
He is in Hong Kong right now watching the Hong Kong
7's which is one of the more famous rugby tournaments
in the world.  He attached some pictures of him with
Jonah Lomu, one of the most recognizable players in
rugby history and apparently the US won their first
match already against France which would certainly be
considered an upset.  Check the attached email!

Due to 4-5 of our alumni playing important matches on
May 5th in Milwaukee, we will move the time of the
match from 1 PM to 3:30 PM.  This will allow Tal,
Colin, Briggs, and Will to join our alumni side.  The
game will be over at 5 and we will head to Murphy's
for the social afterwards.  Pretty exciting stuff
guys.  Our first alumni match ever.  The jersies for

A few of us play for the Milwaukee Harlequins and we have a match against Milwaukee RFC to determine who stays in Division 2 and who drops down to Division 3.
