Since the Fall is the best time to get on those boat projects so the
boat is ready to go in the Spring, I added a link to the link section
of the Yahoo site which has a step by step approach to repairing your
daggerboard or rudder. This was written by a guy who has many year's
experience with Lasers and Sunfish, including as a dealer for Vanguard
and Sunfish/Laser (the predecessor to Vanguard).
Also, in the files section, I've included my personal "cheatsheet" that
I created a few years ago to simplify the tuning and body position
information that I was learning from multiple sources. After attending
a talk by "Mr. Rooster", Steve Cockerill (I think that's his name), and
having taken down a number of notes during his talk, then buying his
videos, I made this sheet. I laminated a copy so I have it in the car
and I don't have to fear getting it wet. It gives you sail trim, body
location and position, and the heel angle of the boat. If you have any
questions about it, drop me a line. Sorry I didn't put that one on
there sooner, I was just hogging it to give myself an advantage. ;)
