We need to step up the pace a bit or this won't happen. There are
several issues associateed with getting any sport oriented group
going that (because of all the lawyers) have to be dealt with. Just
because the ice has melted doesn't mean we can just proceed. We are
in utah not the Midwest. We need insurance, so we need to file a 501-
C3. So we need to have officers and a director, and register all of
these things takes time. I propose that we meet at my house this
weekend to work out what we can(enough to really get the ball
rolling), so we can do a public service announcement on KPCW and
KCPW to get more notice out there. I should have rough numbers on
insurance, race commitee equipment, etc. by tomorrow so we can have
a meeting this weekend. I've talked to my wife and my place is fine.
I feel that Geoff has personally shouldered a lot in getting this
going and now the rest of us need to buck up and get it done. I feel
I need to reiterate that time is now of the essence, as Memorial Day
is soon upon us. And if we intend for the first series to start
then, than we have much business to conduct quickly!
