sorry, gang! a personal note meant to go out to my old running buddy (initials H.C.), inadvertantly went out to EVERYBODY! (I love the convenience of the PamakidsRacingYahoo group, except when this happens. Guess i'll learn my lesson, someday . . .
How are you? Hope well and hope running is going well. Some day i'd like to run the lake with you.
Nice to have you at the wedding, and be able to chat even if brief. I had fun.
Otto is a little more serious than my email may have alluded. You may want to talk to Eddie before you go. Otto may have had a stroke. You know he lost his wife (Ed's mom) last year... quite a shock to one's system.
Love,
Cammie

Hi Pamakid Racing Team Members,
We've had a few people ask if the entry fee for the Kaiser San Francisco Half
Marathon is covered by the club. It is not. This race is how the club raises
all the money that enables us to race throughout the year. Everyone is
encouraged to run the Half (be sure to wear your uniform), and it sounds like
we will have a large group of racing team members running this year.
We also need all the volunteers we can get to help out on the day of the event.
If you are not running the half marathon please consider volunteering. Last
year the racing team worked together in one spot and had fun doing our little
bit. (5k-ers are welcome to join us after their race.)
We ask that all racing team members please contact Malinda and John
(malindawal@..., john@...) and indicate a, b or c as
described below.
a) I will be running the race
b) I will volunteer, please add my name to your list
c) I will not run or volunteer
Once we have a list of volunteers we'll be in touch to figure out what volunteer
job works best for you.
(Please send your repsonse just to John and/or Malinda so we don't generate too
much traffic to the entire email list.)
Thanks! Happy running.
-John and Malinda
Thanks for the message. I've actually had ulceration of the esophagus myself so I know how much it sucks. I'm glad to hear he's doing ok.

Thank you. I don't believe I have ever had the pleasure of meeting him. But I
did email him regards a Palermo family in SF as yet I have not heard from him.

Oh! Nope, they're doing them again, started last
Saturday. Runs will last for four weeks. I think what
happened is a) we started planning late; and b) Ron
didn't have time to organize so George and I organized
them, with Andy and Tomas leading the runs.
Thanks!

I see where Andy and Tom are still envolved with training runs. At our last
meeting I thought said they were taking a rest in this area and I included this

Wayne considering that you, Harry and I do Breakers each year, is there a team category we can take advantage of there? Tony

I have a couple of races to suggest. Devil Mountain 10K (usually first Sunday in May) and the Hook And Ladder 10K (August) are two good ones. If the Hook And Ladder is not run, then possibly Bridge To Bridge (September 30) would be an alternative.
Thanks and I'll see you soon!

We'll soon be proposing a schedule and budget for the 2007 racing team
year, so please let us know if there are races you would like us to
consider for inclusion. Our goal is to have about one race a month, a
variety of distances, and perhaps one 'destination' event a year, to
promote team camaraderie The current schedule includes the following:
Couple Relay, 2X 5K (Feb)
Brickyard, 4 & 8 Mile (Apr)
The Presidio Relay, 4x5 K (Jun)
Banana Chase, 5 & 10 K (Sep)
The Home Run, 5 & 10 K (Oct)
Run Wild, 5 & 10 K (Nov)
California International Marathon Relay, 4 person marathon relay (Dec)
Christmas Relays, 4 X 4.5 Mi (Dec)
The next race will be Couples Relay at Lake Merritt in Oakland on
Sunday, Feb 25. If you are interested in participating Please contact
Andy Chan (Chanman@... <mailto:Chanman%40pol.net> ) who will captain this race.
Happy Running,
Malinda & John

Tom, Per chance are you related to the Palermo family who used to live on the 1200 block of 22nd Av. in the Sunset Dist. in the 40's? Pat Cunneen, Pamakid. PS- I have a very nice father/son Div. tray (1985) from the Cable Car chase. It is a fun race.

Would it be taboo to add one additional half marathon? If not I'd recommend Ave of the Giants, Silicon Valley or R&R half in San Jose or possibly Monterrey half.

Napa used to be big on our calendar; we won the masters’ team title one year; not sure they have teams anymore though.
I recall one year when John Blankenship ran 2:59:59.98. I think he kept that on his watch till the LED died.
I’ll be going up this year for my 25th (and maybe final) Napa.
