Thanks for the photos, Malinda.

The Green Team looked great, the after party and the food!

I am bummed to miss out on the picnic after the race.

Thank you team for the great xc season.
My first and I've learned a lot from you all.

Megan

Well, first of all the lost and found count:
- Malinda and I have Monica's towels.
- We also have a Pamakids umbrella that we suspect is George's.
- And a green coffee OXO thermos mug.

Congrats to all for a fun day in the mud at the Champs. Go Green!

Tuesday night is Thanksgiving week track night. 6:30 at Kezar. I'll keep in
mind that many of you are coming off of a race.

Send in your Pamakid Holiday Gala RSVP form. Please try to come. It's always a
fun event and the more the merrier. A chance to dine with your fellow Pamakids
while not in running attire...some of us clean up nicely! If you can't come,
use the form to send in your 2010 club membership dues so we don't have to chase
you down for it in January.

For the 15 or so of you racing at Steve Woo's Turkey Trail Trot, you should have
received a race information e-mail. The 5 mile race starts at 8:30. See you
then! More race info: http://www.turkeytrailtrot.com/2009/

Hi all -- Excellent running today and thanks for organizing the fun post-race picnic!  I just realized that I left my two old towels there.  I'm sorry to whoever got saddled with them.  Please let me know who you are.  I don't really need them, but will pick them up from someone at track on Tuesday if that works.

Thanks!
Monica

And remember -- like our team's uniforms -- be GREEN!

Bring your own reusable mug, utensils and cloth napkin.

I'm sure we'll have some extras, but this will cut down on waste.

see you all Sunday,

Hey All!

I'm getting excited for the potluck picnic! I mean the race (of course) and the grubbing afterwards!
I am planning on bringing Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or some pumpkin festive beer (depends on my mood; )
and probably some baked good like bread, coffee cake, or something like that. Feel free to shoot around emails on what
you're thinking about bringing so we don't have a million of everything. No need to worry if you don't know, we will no doubt
have a great celebration!

Danielle

PS We will try to reserve 1 to 2 of the picnic tables (like last year) in that prime cheering area. So if you get there early (hhhhmm
Anne M. grab a table). Haha, I will try to be there early too.

Registration opens today at 5:00 for the Napa-to-Sonoma Wine County half marathon (http://www.napa2sonoma.com). This is a very popular race, the organizers warn that it will fill by January 1. There is a team discount, a team is six persons minimum and 15 persons maximum. This year’s race will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2010

I understand that the racing team captains will be soliciting input and suggesting the 2010 racing calendar for approval by the board of directors soon. I offered to captain this race and, because we need to move quickly if we want to participate, John suggested I collect this information:

1)
Would you like to see the Napa-to-Sonoma Wine County Half included in the schedule for 2010?

2)
Do you want to run this race?

3)
Will you run this race if it is a pay-your-own-way team race ($85/person, assuming we have a team of at least six persons)?

Please send your responses to me (malindawal@...) and john (john@...).

-Malinda

I'll bring bagels and cream cheese and a picnic-appropriate red n' white

Hi Everyone,

Still time to sign up race day, so come on out even if it's your first
and only xc race of the year!

Don't forget to bring something to share at the post race potluck picnic.

The start and finish is in the usual location, Lindley Meadow, 30th Ave
and JFK Dr.

Women's Open and Masters start at 9:00, 4 miles (2 loops)

Master's Men at 9:45, 6 miles (3 loops)

Open Men at 11:00 6 miles (3 loops)

Your race number will be at call. If you need to register try to get
there on the early side and look for me near the reg table. I'll be
there by at 8:00 am.

There is a chance the course will be a bit muddy if it rains Friday. If
it does rain a lot I'm going to run an easy-paced (1 lap) scouting of
the course on Saturday morning just to check the conditions, look for
ideal lines, etc. Come on out and join me. Details on Thursday.

Cheers,

John

Spicy chicken wings. Maybe something boozy, too.

I'll bring bagels and cream cheese and a picnic-appropriate red n' white
checkered table cloth. I could also bring my hiking stove if someone
wanted to make Glühwein! There is a chance of rain, shall we make an
alternate plan in the event of inclement weather? Or Andy, can you bring
the tent?

Cheers,

John

Andy and I were planning to bring some beer too, and maybe a low fat baked good - or possibly something else.

Hi,
Congratulations to everyone who ran this gorgeous race yesterday! Weather was perfect and views were breathtaking. Anna, I'm really impressed by your super time (1:40) which makes you a  Bay to Breakers sub-seeded qualifier! And of course I have to brag about Keith, who ran a great time too (1:54) and placed third in his division. I had a good race, was worried about some foot and ankle problems that came up during recent long runs, but made it without any problems. So I'm happy too (especially happy at not being last!).

Best wishes,
Marcia

If anyone is like me and Malinda and prefers the late afternoon weekend run as
opposed to the sleep-depriving-morning-run (or perhaps you are up for a double
workout day?) come out to run the PA cross country course with us Sun Nov 15 at
3:30pm. I think Monica F is coming, too!

The plan is to run the course 2 times, once easy and once at tempo pace.

Tony,

Can you make it? If so we'd be able to score a Veteran team too! How cool would that be?
