What's up?
Is it still game-on as usual this Saturday (July 5), even with the
glorious celebration of our independence?
I'll be there, bloated from BBQ and missing fingers from fireworks.
Anyone else?

We had a great turn out today, but the rain came down just as we started
to play. A majority of people agreed to come and play tomorrow at Adams
Elementry in Ballard (NW 62nd @ 26th Ave NW) @ 10:30am to try and play again.
For those of you who haven't played at Adams it has a great schoolyard,
with a much smoother surface and is a more reasonable size (ie. the ball
can't go far without hitting a wall or fence). So, if it's dry, come on
our tomorrow @ 10:30am
Here is a link to a map of the location:
http://maps.google.com/maps?&q=6110+28th+Ave+NW,+Seattle,+WA+98107,+USA
David
The weatherman says it should be nice (and dry) by tomorrow night.
Assuming this is true, come on out at 6pm+ for the first Wednesday
night game of the year.
David
p.s. Even if you can't make it there at 6pm, stop by whenever you can.
There is plenty of light to play in the evenings now, so if
it's dry, lets just plan on a game Wednesday nights at 6pm
(and 10:30am on Saturdays :).

Northwest Pro only has ice, no roller. At least that was true last summer. It's a cool shop. -Chris

Hey gang, there are currently 2 groups of guys planning to play at tyee
high school in seatac. they are going to play on thursdays so as not to
conflict with overt at 5-5:30 and on sundays from 9:30-12:00
The same weather rule as overt, good group of guys. The rink is
awesome. I will post some pics next visit. Let me know if you have
questions.
Matt

To celebrate the upcoming nice weather, the visit of the Dalai Lama and the
Seeds of Compassion event happening in Seattle this weekend, I propose that
we play "compassionate rollerhockey" this Saturday.
Compassionate hockey means:
- when you deke the pants off of an opposing player, you brag for no
longer than 30 seconds.
- after scoring a goal, you celebrate for no longer than 1 minute.
- if someone on the other team is injured, at least pretend that
you're worried about their well being.
So, rollerhockey this Saturday @ 10:3am at Olympic View School. Details
on location etc @ http://seattlerollerhockey.com.
Given that it's spring time, in the future, if it is dry out just assume
there will be a game at 10:30am on Saturdays. Also, get ready, as it's
almost getting light enough to start Wednesday evening games.

FYI: There is a regular street hockey game @ 2pm at the Greenwood Elementary school. Looks like 4 on 4, with full size nets and goalies. Players were wearing gloves, shin guards, cups?, had sticks, and played with a street ball.
So it looks like it REALLY will be nice (and dry) this Saturday.
>From the comments over the last few weeks/months it looks like
there is some pent up demand to play. So come on out @ 10:30am at
Olympic View Elementry for an Easter weekend rollerhockey extravaganza.
Details on where we play etc is @ seattlerollerhockey.com
David
who is the group admin?
I have seattlerollerhockey.com registered, and was wondering if there
is a setting in Yahoo Groups to have this domain resolve to our group
page.
thanks
John
I'll start playing again in a couple weeks. I just moved right by northgate mall.

How many of you mud larks showed up to play today?

wet pavement in kent. -- somebody please give a pavement
report for seattle ( I can't really tell from the DOT cams.-
looks like dry lanes and wet shoulders).
And actually, it would be great on questionable days if
some northgate resident could post a saturday morning
pavement report around 9:30 am. -- It would really help those of us who
have to make the longer commutes.
thank you for reading this, and keep your wheels down.
