Hi Jody,
Definately pumps!
Okay, if not pumps, I would reccomend trail shoes. You probably could get away
with road shoes as there is not many technical areas, but there are enough steep
hills and angled traverses that I think you would benefit from trail shoes.
I am going with trail shoes. Hope this helps,
Jim Morrison

Subject: OUS-l: Shoes for Creemore: pumps or slingbacks?
Hey everyone, I did the Creemore race two years ago when it was mostly
road. I remember reading last year that there was more trail in it last
year but I didn't run it so I don't know how much. What's the
approximate proportion of road/trail?
I'm just trying to decide whether to wear road or trail shoes. I was
happy with the road shoes 2 years ago (and if it's more or less the same
I would do that again as my trail shoes are kinda old and lacking
cushioning). But if there's significantly more trail, particularly with
steep sections where road shoes are have too much slack in the front, or
if there are more technical bits with roots and rocks, I'd go with the
trail shoes. (For comparison, I consider the other races to be trail
shoe worthy, except for Sulphur Springs which is non-technical but soft
so either is fine).
Already looking forward to the post race beverages,
Jody
