Happy new year ousers. Trust everyone has goals this year and that each you will
achieve a personal victory with your running.
Now the purpose of this email. Achilles Canada usually helps our people with
different abilites with running.
However one of our athletes wants to try snowshoeing. None of our Achilles
members has attempted this snowshowing sport yet and we are seeking a guide for
Geeza Fenyo is a very accomplished runner and he tells me he has snowshooed (how
much and where I do not know).
If you are interested in participating (and are willing to guide) in the
February event, let me know, I will introduce you, so yo and Geeza can
finalize logistics.
Looking for a Driver and Guide? - One of our athlete Geza would like to
participate in a 5K or 10K Snowshoe Race on Saturday, February 21st up at
Horseshoe Valley Resort (Barrie, Ontario). The cost is $40 per person and Geza
also need transportation to the race. The race start at 10:45 am with race
kit pick-up starting at 8:30 am till 10 am. Please let me know if your
interested in participating and being a guide for Geza. Geza is blind athlete
and is a very fast runner, however he doesn't know how fast he is with snowshoes
on. Achilles would be happy to help out with the cost of transportation to
Horseshoe Valley.
Cheers and Keep on runnin'
