Pierre,
I'd definitely give you a deal on 5 pairs of Dion's ;)
I have used the Dion Running #121 model for training and racing on groomed
and ungroomed trails.
Like any other snowshoe, the more surface area, the better the floatation on
deep, ungroomed snow. However, the more surface area, also the less
comfortable for running. The Dion 121's are 7" wide x 21' long, so you don't
have to alter your normal running stride much if any. One of the problems
with some snowshoes is if they are too wide, you can have problems with
constantly hitting the inside of your ankles (ouch). If you have a
snowmobile trail laid down, you would find that snowshoe running is much
faster and easier than on ungroomed trails.
You have 1.5 feet of snow??? Man, I'm jealous!
