This will be my 1st ultra run and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions... Can you use an iPod during the race? I didn't see the rules address this issue....

No problem, I would recommend having two ipods if you do not have pacers. Your mind can screw with you at night when you are by yourself....

Considering the OT100 as my first 100, just wondered from some who have completed it if this is a good first 100? How are the aid stations, organization, etc....

I'll answer this in two parts: I did Ozark as my first 100, as did quite a few others I know. I'm still doing 100s, love 'em (just finished Western States)...

There is absolutely no comparison to Hardrock other than the distance. You encounter every type of trail condition and surface at HR. Not so at OT....
