Re: [orlando_trikkes] new trikker

Steve,

I have done part of the West Orange Trail, but haven't checked out the Seminole Trail. Guess I can it on the state web sites, but curious where and how long is it.

Hello Pat! Glad you found us. Your going to enjoy your
new toy, let me tell you. If you haven't tried one
yet, it will be fun and frustrating at the same time,
but once you get the hang of the 'rock and roll'
aspect of the Trikke, you won't want to get off of it!

Depending on the model you purchased, you will need to
pick the right place to get familiar with the feel of
the Trikke. A T8, with the poly wheels will favor a
flat, smooth surface where a T12, or a T8 convertable
might allow you to use a slightly rougher surface. I
suggest the West Orange Trail or the Seminole trails
to learn on since they are very smooth. Don't be
afraid to give a little push to get moving in the
beginning. Once you try a little of the side to side
motion and start to feel the 'sweet spot' it will just
keep getting easier and easier each time you jump on
it!

You are in the minority right now. I haven't seen one
other Trikke, (except my wife's) in the Orlando area
since I purchased mine back in April. But each time I
hit the trails, more and more people stop me to
inquire about it. Hopefully we will have some others
to plan a group ride with soon. I have already scoped
out a great ride and will announce a date soon. So,
practice up and be ready! Hope to ride with you soon.
Feel free to ask when you have questions once you
start to ride. I'll be glad to help. Talk soon!
