while vacationing on a beautiful tropical island? Ever try to hit a
ball around the best blockers in the world Phil Dalhausser and Kerri
Walsh then have dinner with them and ask them about their Gold Medals?
How about having a beer with Casey Jennings and Nick Lucena and ask
them about their defensive techniques and how they dig everything. Ask
Angela Lewis how fun it is to play on the women's tour and how she
trains to get top 5 finishes? Hit nectar sets from AL-B Hannemann while
Paige Davis is coaching you on your approach. Video tape Jason Ring,

then ask them how to improve your vertical jump. These are the
opportunities you will have while joining new friends and these pros on

volleyball, today announces the return of the indoor beach volleyball
national tour with the 2009 AVP Crocs Hot Winter Nights Indoor Tour.

thrilled to be able to continue to bring world-class beach volleyball

OK Folks, Yes you have to play on Friday to Play on Saturday
Make the Commitment, you won't regret it - Take a sick day!
Their are many reasons for this format, here are a few:
This is not just another tournament, it is about having the best competition possible AND about having the most fun in Tahoe. If we go with the regular format, it just doesn't get it done.
If we play a regular tournament format on Saturday, most people are too tired to go out Saturday night. This format gives you time both Friday and Saturday evenings to enjoy the South Shore Tahoe attractions and The Party on Saturday Night.
Virtually eveyone who plays in this event must travel and most likely get a room, especially to enjoy the Saturday night festivities.
This is not just another tournament, it is a more challenging format, all players end up playing more matches to decide who really is the best. It would not be fair to the people playing both days to have a team completely not play and entire day and come straight into the playoffs

Salem's last tourney of the summer provided perfect weather as the
sand heated up to warrant sand-socks!
Salem's Mens AA had the team of Robles/Skinner entering the cross-
over after a cramping Skinner hung on to win the previous match.
Skinner finally took some salt tablets and pressed on. Play by play
Pete gave commentary to both the match to his right and the match to
his left all while playing his own cross-over match. A brave effort
by Eugene player Skinner, but Mullady/Pavlenko were too much as they
advance to the finals in 2 games.
At the same time Chapman/Wood were quietly getting past Boe/Pitsul in
2 games to make the finals. The sleeping giant (Wood) was just
starting to awake!
The finals had an old school feel as most of the tournament players
stayed to watch, heckle and sip frosty beverages. Woods blocking came
alive at the end of the day, but it was his Camacho style sky-ball
that sent the crowd into a roar, one particular serve caught the wind
just right and hooked back 10ft hitting the ducking passer in the
back and sending the crowd into a heckle frenzy! Chapman/Wood
continued to play steady ball and picked up the title edging out
Mullady/Pavlenko in 2 games.
Other Top finishers:
5th Miller/Leichty
5th Blatchford/Anderson
The Womens AA had the Salem team of Haggerty/Knabe rolling to another
victory getting past Dye/LaVeine in 2 games. Haggerty/Knabe are
proving to be the team to beat this summer!
3rd Aitchison/Marthaller
Sunday's Coed AA winners: Chapman/Knabe
Sunday's Coed A winners: Hayhurst/Volz
Thanks to all the players who came out to test their skills and
compete last weekend!!
On a side-note: Congratulations to Portland/Vancouver's own Kelly
Russell who just found out she made the top beach tour in
Switzerland!! Look for Kelly to take the international beach tour by
storm!!

Dear Coaches,
My name is Tony Fathergill and welcome to PACIFIC COAST VOLLEYBALL
CAMPS! I created PCV camps in San Jose, CA (1997) to use as a
vehicle to reach the growing number of young volleyball athletes and
teach them the essential fundamental skills of our great sport!
Since then we have had 11 successful summers of running great high
school and club camps all around the country.
PCV Camps offers a very unique and valuable learning opportunity
that combines great coaching with quality repetitions and a great
learning environment. We have many referrences from around the
country and in Oregon to prove that we produce an awesome overall
experience for your entire volleyball program. And the best part is
we travel to your facility, saving your athletes time and money!
I would be happy to get your more information and a brochure about
PCV Camps. And in the meantime you can check out our website at:
