Preston,
I have some ideas for you and your bro to tryout.
I run the courthouse volleyball night on Tuesdays at the West Salem
Courthouse club. Its co-ed on a 8' net. The skill level is Rec players to
USAV - A (really retired AA USVBA players, myself being one of them). Some
nights it's all high level co-ed play and its a lot of fun. If we get too
many Rec players, I set up a second net and we play double, 3's or 4's with
the players capable of playing at that level and give the Rec players on
their own side. If you would like to try it out, I can get you a two-week
pass to try out the club so you guys can come check out volleyball nights.
We have a second volleyball night at the Battle Creek club, Susi Armstrong
run that program, same format. She and I coach at West Salem High School
together so I know she will take care of you guys and adjust the volleyball
skill level like I do at the West club.
There is an Adult league in town. Don't know much about it except Peter the
guy running the league is a good volleyball guy. Plays mostly grass and
reverse co-ed. See his web site for more details.

If you are looking for a men's team to play on, not sure we have one in
Salem anymore. Chemeketa Community College had a volleyball class which put
together a men's team. You could check with them and see if they have
anything going. I could do some checking if you need a contact. Just send
me an email that your interested and I will make some calls and find out for
you. You could go the region USA Volleyball site and look for teams. Most
are in Portland these days.

That's all I got for you. Wish there was more to offer. I'm trying to do
something about that by starting a boy's high school team, hoping they will
someday start a men's teams in the future. We are short on facilities in
Salem to play volleyball, fight with basketball for gym time and usually
loose. There is an effort in Keizer to build a 10+ million dollar sports
facility to fulfill both volleyball and basketball needs in Salem. If that
happens, we could possibly become a volleyball town again.
Email me if you have more questions.
