Understanding the Award Structure.

Standard prize structure: 40% of bracket entrant fees plus "added" to
championship bracket winner. 20% of entrant fees championship bracket
second place - no added.

Consolation bracket: 40% of bracket entrant fees to winner - no
added, 20% of bracket entrant fees to second place, no added.

Example: 1st tournament is reverse co-ed 4's for the 2005 outdoor
series. The tournament info reads as follows: Reverse co-ed 4's -
$30 per team to enter - awards: $50 added / 40/20 champion bracket.
40/20 consolation bracket. Lets go with 12 teams that enter the
tournament. Six seed into champion bracket, six into consolation.

The award payout for the Winner of the Championship bracket would be
$122 (six entries at $30 each equals $180 times 40% is $72. To the
$72 ( 40%) add the guaranteed "added" of $50 and you have $122. For
second place in the Championship bracket the award payout would be
$36 (20% of $180) with no added.

For the Consolation Bracket the award payout for the Winner would be
$72 (40% of $180 - six entries at $30 - with no added. Second place
would be $36.
