Anyone who wants warmer water might be interested in heading to Beal's Point at Folsom Lake. It was 75 last weekend for the FLOW swim race. The Sac Tri Club is swimming there at 8am tomorrow. I'll either be there or biking with my husband.
Question re: wetsuits (again!) - for those of you who use wetsuits, any preference between sleeveless and full sleeved?

hey all,
Sarah and I are going to be leaving Davis at 4pm heading to lake Natoma for a swim (45min to 1hr). Remy and Lynne are gonna meet us there. Let's meet on the state park side unless they are charging for parking in which case we'll park at the aquatic center (i'm cheap!). We'll probably be there around 4:50ish.
lynne and I don't get off work until 5 so we can't be there until 530.
isabel call me when you get there-we were thinking to start from
aquatic center and swim along the lane lines. ...maybe we'l just see
you in the water?

Lynne and I are gonna swim in Lake Natoma this tuesday around 530ish (depending on traffic). We work around the area so we will be coming straight from work so if others in Davis want to come you all can coordinate carpooling. We'll park at the aquatic center and leave our stuff by the
picnic tables. We plan to swim for at least 30mins.
Hey all,
Remy and I are gonna be leaving Davis at 8:30am (civic center pool) heading to
lake Natoma for a swim. We expect to be there around 9:15. We're gonna park at
the aquatic center and leave our stuff by the picnic tables.
We're hoping to swim for about 45min-1hr.
If you wanna carpool let me know (Isabel 530 400 2943) so we'll know to look for
you (we might change our departure place if it's just us).
Isabel
Hi Everyone - I think a few of us are going to swim on thursday afternoon at
Lake Natoma. There will be a carpool leaving Davis (civic pool) at 4:45 and we
will meet up at the lake between 5:20 and 5:30. Let me know if you plan to join
us and we'll look for you.

Pam,
I wanted to let you know that I am planning a long open water swim in Lake Natoma on June 27th at 8am. It will be from Negro Bar to Nimbus Flat (3.66 miles). It is not an actual event, so swimmers are swimming at their own risk. We will have some cars at each end. Let me now if anyone is interested.

Just a heads up, I am planning a couple (non official) open water swim events that I will be swimming. I am looking for some people who may want to do them with me. In the end of June I plan on swimming Lake Natoma, from the Aquatic center at Nimbus flat to Negro Bar (about 3.6 miles). This will be a training swim for my swim out and around Alcatraz (3.3 mile) July 17th. I am looking for swimmers and Kayakers for the Alcatraz swim. Both these swims are just me going out and looking for some company, no fees, no shirts, no liability, just swimming and bragging rights!

Sorry Emily. I swam all day Sat in a salt pool. Most of it was playing Marco Polo.
I guess I burnt my eyes. Today I'm going to the Doctor. My vision is so blury and I'm extremely sensitive to light.
Has anyone had to deal with this before?

Anyone up for riding together early a.m. and right back to Davis after the

Hi, folks.
I'm wondering if anyone has a kayak that they'd let me borrow for the Berryessa
swim. A kayaking friend is visiting from out-of-town, and he's volunteered to
safety boat for the race if I can track down a boat for him to use. I can
transport it to and from the lake.
Thanks!
Sarah
Sounds good. I need to leave early so i'll end up driving and cutting my swim short. So I can give someone a ride there, but not back.

I looked at it just now and it looks like it's the PAC 10 chamionships - so that
is going to be packed - the races run from 8am to 3pm. I would say we go early
but I think they will be warming up then and it will still be very full of
rowers - anyone up for going after 3pm? on saturday or sunday? or we just wait
to swim natamo the next weekend - thoughts?
