Hello!    I wanted to let everyone know we had a great time Tuesday evening at Lake Natoma, the water temp at the shore was 70F...not exactly cold water but we swam for about an hour and were in the company of lots of other swimmers (a lot of whom said they were training for the Tahoe swim).  I think at the very least we will be back this Tuesday (7/8/08) and next (7/15/08) if anyone would like to join us - we will prob go around 6:30pm.     Also, I just found out that we may have a swimmer canceling on us for the Tahoe Relay (July 19th)...would anyone be interested in joining our team??  We are just doing the race for fun, we are definitely not the fastest team but I bet you will have a lot of fun with us!!!! I am home from my big trip and have finally gotten myself back up to speed with 'life' - I am ready to start my cold water training cram session (if thats possible!). I figure any cold water training before the Trans Tahoe Relay is better that none...?! I am assuming that Lake Natomas is still pretty cold so I was going to plan to do some of my training there - would anyone be up for swimming with me there over the next 3 weeks? I have plans to be down in Loomis (my poor doggie just started chemotherapy at Loomis Basin Vet Clinic...) every Tuesday from ~4:30pm-5:30/ 6pm and was thinking I could go for a quick swim on my way back to Davis...I would love some company if anyone would like to meet up with me! I should also have some time on the weekends as well...Does anyone else have any other suggestions for places to cold water swim that aren't too far from Davis? I look forward to swimming with you!
