Re: [openwaterswimmers] Where can I get a wetsuit?

Talk to Melissa Franke at Making Waves, the new swim shop in Davis. She has already offered any assistance possible to this open water swimming group. Maybe the group could meet at Making Waves sometime or meet a wetsuit company rep or invite a speaker. Or post up a invite to join your group for an open water training swim or workout. Have you been to the store lately? It is getting better and better with lots of cool swim stuff. Melissa is always open to new product requests too.

The Franke family (7 of them!) are all swimmers - dedicated members of DAM and the Aquadarts.
They are committed to assisting every aquatic person in Davis with anything they need for the water. This is the true spirit in which they purchased the store.
It is my hope that the community and all of it's aquatic sports teams will support this local business.
No small task to locally serve a community with all of the web based stores out there. But I feel sure we will see very nice returns from Making Waves.
Great local aquatic sports promotion and information.
Quick service, knowledgeable advice, creative ideas and products. Local team outfitting.
Fair prices. No shipping costs.
And quality. We all know what happens when you buy cheap. You most often get low quality and short lasting products.

Happy swim shopping!

Hi Gang....

Any ideas about where to get a wetsuit and how the sizes run? I'm dying
to go on a swim with you guys, but I don't have a wetsuit (but willing
to invest in one).

I agree with lyra and ahelee that it would be great to build a relationship with the local shop - Even if they did not offer a discount (which it sounds like...

Thanks, everyone! I will go pay the swim shop a visit. I am a bit nervous as I've, shall we say, indulged a bit over the holiday season and I need to get back...
