Cristiano insists he has put his summer transfer saga behind him and
is firmly focused on helping Manchester United win more trophies.
The 23-year-old has played down suggestions his body language in
recent games indicates he is still hankering for a move to Real
Madrid. The latest evidence put forward that he wants to live in
Spain came in his non-celebration of the European goal he scored
against Celtic last week.
Ronaldo said: "If i smile it is because i smile. If i don't it is
because i don't. All i want to do is play well and do my best."
Cristiano says its was boss Sir Alex Ferguson's influence that
persuaded him to stay at Old Trafford.
"Sir Slex has been a big inspiration to me," he said. "He believed in
me enough to buy me. I have learned so many things from him and i am
continuing to learn because he is a great manager. Of course, he was
the main factor in keeping me here. But what happened in the summer
is finished. Now my focus is solely on playing well for United and
winning the Premier League and Champions League again."
He also admitted: "I am different now compared to five years ago.
Then i was dribbling but not doing anything for the team. I have more
experience and i feel more mature. I do things for the team."
