and - if we're lucky - some home-brew!!
A security check may be conducted at the gate so we suggest you come
wearing your best inner wear.

know where that is) and just after the Village Market on the right, go
on straight as if you are heading to Runda Estate. However, 100 metres
or so before Runda Estate take a right turn onto a cabro paved road.
This road can also lead you to Rosslyn Academy. OK! Keep on this

On Sunday we went to see Mo Faya, the new Musical by Eric Wainaina. I know we shouldn’t misuse the Hash mail list for these kind of adverts, but I think it’s really worth going (and it was quite empty on Sunday). Great show. More on this below.
Eric Wainaina’s Mo Faya: “A Ghetto Story” is currently being performed at the GoDown; the highly entertaining musical drama gives us a slice of life in a ghetto in Kenya and features a lively mix of reggae and African rhythms coupled with energetic and highly compelling choreography, in a blend that is bound to light up the stage. The show runs every week, Wednesday to Sunday, until December 20th
DJ Lwanda’s voice rings out daily on local radio, leading and inspiring the Nairobi community of Kwa Maji. But Anna Mali, an avaricious real estate diva, craves the land beneath their slum. She seduces the fiery young DJ away with a job at a top nationwide station, and organizes a violent campaign to terrorize the people of Kwa Maji. When the government and media turn a blind eye to the decapitated bodies in the streets, DJ Lwanda must return home to expose the truth. But at what cost?
Next Monday's run will be hosted by Ezy Access in Hillview estate.
Directions: Hillview Cresent no 25. To get there you find Lower Kabete
Rd. Follow it until there is a brick wall with red letters saying
Hillview on your right. Take that right (immediately before the brick
wall). Go up the hill and turn left through the barrier. Now you are
on Hillview Cresent. Follow it as it curves to the right. Go
straight through another barrier. No. 25 is on the left immediately
after no. 23. Limited parking inside. Use the side of the road.

Personally I think dressing up as a witch is overrated but hell-fire its Halloween so why not. Besides.....the MCK/Dive Club Halloween party is more that just trying to wake up with a witch.
* Two bars including a Themed cocktail bar by the pool * Food by the pool * DJ, music and dancing * Girls dressed all aggressively and behaving in a domineering fashion * Boys dressed in what they were wearing during the day (actually...you really better make an effort!) * Prizes for best dressed and raffles (including prizes donated by Tamambo, Dormans, Hair & Beauty, Binoculars)
Apparently there will be voluntary cage dancing (although I'll believe that when I see it).
So, whether you want to dress provocatively, stand around the poolside drinking amazing cocktails or take your chances with a witch on the dance-floor.................this Halloween party is the place to be !!

NAIVASHA RELAY is around the
corner - Saturday 3 RD- 4TH OCTOBER.
We now need urgent confirmations
for all those interested. As you know, we want to field two teams of
nine. Participation cost is Shs1,000 per person which
the Soc Sec, Red Hot will collect next Monday
28th Sept. at Digit's and Sex object's hash - so carry the cash!!
What
is the Naivasha relay you may ask?
This is the most exciting hash activity of the year.
This year we expect hashers from Juba Hash, Kampala Hash, Kigali Hash, Burundi Hash, Addis Hash, etc
We'll meet around 6 AM on Saturday 3rd October,
somewhere in Karen, and then head out to the start by the Dagoretti railway
bridge to start at 7 AM.
The relay route is about 80 km and takes us down past Karai village into the
Rift Valley, via the very old escarpment dirt road,
via Suswa, and into the back of Hell's Gate
National Park Naivasha by around 5 pm where there will be a down down.
There are nine Hashers per team and each person is seeded, with some Hashers
running once, others running twice and the top seeds running three times. You
can run as little or as much as you like, depending on the seed you opt for.
It's not a race, so although times are taken and the "winners" are
announced afterwards, everyone waits at the end of each leg for all the teams
to finish, before starting out on the next leg. So no-one gets left behind.
It's a great event and the scenery is spectacular. You also get a little bit
of exercise, dust, sun, rain and a good time is had by all.
Afterwards we shall drive to Fish Eagle Inn (accommodation details below) approx.
8 KM from Hells gate where food and drinks will be provided. A few down-downs
will no doubt ensue and clapped- out Hashers will slump around the campfire.
Anyone who didn't run is welcome to come down direct from Nairobi.
After breakfast on Sunday you can head back to Nairobi in your own time.
Also please let us know if you're willing to drive the route - it's possible
to drive and run. You must have a good 4WD vehicle and should be willing to
take a few runners with you. Those not
driving the route can leave car somewhere in Karen, location to be confirmed.
On On!

3.9 B Tate Close, Kitisuru.
Directions
Coming from Westlands, take Peponi Road. Just 20 metres beyond the
turnoff to Thigiri Ridge Road (on the right), Kitisuru Road turns off
to the LEFT. So do you. Kitisuru is the only road in Kenya (and
probably in Africa) that has exact and specific addresses. 3.9 is the
precise distance from Peponi Road to the house in question.
You will reach the crossroad with Ngecha Road at about 3.1 km. Go
straight through the barrier (which is never closed), past the
Argentinian Ambassador's residence on the left. At the fork, bear
RIGHT. This is Tate Close. 3.9B is the 3rd house on the left. Avoid
3.9. That's the wrong house and the owner will not be impressed if you
try to enter. 3.9B is the next house on the left.
There's room for about 8 cars inside. After the driveway is full, just
part on the verge outside.
Please sponsor us in the in the German School Fun Run. It is for a Kenyan school that has 280 pupils and only two classrooms. They would like to buy their own land to build a bigger school. It is for a good cause and the money will go directly to the school project (the donation will be supervised by the German School Nairobi).
