ONH3ER'S,
Run number 482 of 6th April will be hosted by Buggered Balls. The run will be @ his bush hole in Karengatta, Off Magadi road where you will enjoy a run through the bushes, perhaps through the Girrafe Centre & catch panoramic views of the Ngong hills.
Please note that schools are closed so traffic is light therefore you have no real excuse of missing out!
Directions:
Option A, from city centre/industrial area:
Take Langata Road out of town past Wilson airport, Carnivore and the KWS HQ.
At Bomas of Kenya (huge billboard) turn left onto Magadi Road.
Drive 3 or 4 km, passing Brookhouse School, Park Place and Banda School, all on the right.
After Banda take the first tarmac road on the right (Mukoma Road, lots of signboards).
Pass through the barrier (you'll need to sign a book) and continue straight ahead.
Ignore a couple of roads on the left and one (dirt) on the right.
Where the road ahead becomes dirt, bear left onto Kikenni Road (tarmac).
Then take first right onto Kikenni Lane.
We're the 3rd gate on the left on Kikenni Lane
Allow 30 mins from Nyayo Stadium.
Option B, from Lavington/Ngong Road:
Get yourself to Dagoretti Corner (Junction shopping centre)
Take Ngong Road out of town and pass the racecourse (on L) and Lenana forest.
At the Shell station branch left onto Karen Road.
After 2 km you get to Langata Road. Head straight across (with caution; crooked junction, always busy).
Stay on Karen Road and pass Karen Club (on L) and Karen Blixen House (on R).
At the junction just after Karen Blixen turn sharp left onto Bogani Road (do not go straight ahead).
Now stay on Bogani Road right to the end, which is about 5 km (guessing).
At the end of Bogani turn right at the T-junction onto Langata South Road.
Pass Langata Link and Ker & Downey (on R).
Where the main road bears right, branch left onto a block-paved road with an Islamic name (Dr Syedna Bin Mohammed something...).
Stay on the paving road over a few speed bumps and round 2 bends; it'll eventually
turn into dirt.
Keep ahead and through a barrier (sign the book) into Mukoma Estate.
Continue ahead on the dirt road and at the T-junction turn right onto Mukoma Road.
Where the road ahead becomes dirt, bear left onto Kikenni Road (tarmac).
Then take first right onto Kikenni Lane.
We're the 3rd gate on the left on Kikenni Lane
Allow 35 mins from Dagoretti Corner.
