No sooner will you have got back from the Hash weekend at Basecamp in the Masai
Mara,
than ONH3 offers you the Mount Kenya Oxygen Run 2005. To be held on 10th and
11th
December, with an option to stay longer if you wish - as Monday 12th is yet
another Public
Holiday (Id El Jamhuri this time). For those of you who haven't been before,
it's more of a
walk than a run due to altitude and wild beasts, up in the Mt. Kenya forest in
Kirinyaga
District, approx. 90 mins from Nairobi.

Welcome once again to the Castle Forest Lodge for our Power Walk through the
scenic
Flora, Fauna and Wildlife that you get to see. The route will be the same as
last year, right
up to the.......what's that? The edge of the Bamboo Forest? The slow walkers
will this time
have a marked route, which will naturally be shorter.

As we will be walking through the Mt.Kenya Forest, the home to the buffalos and
elephants, you are advised to exercise extreme caution and walk in groups.

Accomodation available:

4 cottages each with 2 single beds.
4 cottages each with a double bed.
2 bungalows each with 2 bedrooms, with a double bed in each bedroom
3 rooms in the main house with twin beds in each room.

Prices:

KSH 2,200 FB per person sharing per night.
KSH 1,900 HB per person sharing per night.
KSH 1,000 single supplement per night.

Camping also available @ KSH 300 per night, with KSH 500 extra for breakfast and
lunch.
