I have an original Speedway News 6/8/1938 in front of me it advertises Dagenham
Daggers v Rye House league match, and a match report Rye house v Smallford

Rye House 37 J. Hamilton 9, J Milross9, V Weir 8, J Myson 4, R Hall 4, A Menzies
2 [ could be Australian rider Andy Menzies.

Smallford 46 Bob Wells 11. Peter Goodchild 11, Cyril Brine 7, J Hewitt 3, E
Francis 2, George Gower 5 Percy Brine 4.

Some familiar names here, Peter Goodchild, maybe the norwich ride , eh Bryan?
