Re: [ok-bike-society] Re: bike rider injured

You have to be kidding??? 20mph, that including the stops you have,
and the times you have to slow down for kids???

I thought, trail speed was 15mph. Even at that, with the traffic
other than bikes, it is hard to archive at times.

I also didn't know, it was "required" for folks to move to the right,
when someone hollers on your left. I thought, it was a courtesy call,
to let people know you were passing at a "safe speed".

I think, Dennis is correct, we do need trail etiquette signs!

Well, I saw my first crash of the year on the Hefner Trails last night. This one involved a bicycle and an inline skater. The skater was ok, but the...

Or, we as cyclists could quit saying "on your left". As is, lot of us have witnessed folks moving left, after such a statement. Rather than hollering "on your...

I can average a 20mph ride around the lake with no problem. I like the idea of shouting "passing" instead of "on your left". One other thing - the distance...

I thought I posted this yesterday, but it's not showing up. You're right - my average speed isn't 20mph. It takes me 34/35 minutes to do a lap, which works out...

The “Share the Road” slogan that we bicyclists like to use with the car drivers should apply just as well to the weaker/slower bicyclists who face 20 mph...

AMEN to that. Common sense dictates that we as cyclist when approaching slower riders, pedestrian, or others should slow to the point that we can make last...

Very well said, also might add if we (cyclists) start a complaining campaign to city officials, we will be the ones getting the restrictions. ... From:...
