I am starting a Shredder II go kart project, I got the plans from ubuilditplans.
com. I washoping somebody else here had built this already and could help me
along the way if I need any advice. I would also love to see any videos of the
Shredder II tearing up the trails, or even uner construction. I am trying to
motivate my kids that this will be an awesome kart after we build it. You can
contact me by e-mail if you don't want to post here.

I'd like to get $600 for it.It isn't a Dingo or cheap factory go cart.
It has a BMI frame, bass boat seat, No 40 chain drive and a Comet
30 Torque-A-Verter variable speed drive. Three of the grandkids
are over 16 years old so they are out of go karts and into cars.

For $650, I'll throw in another frame about the same style but
slightly wider. The second frame is rusty but very usable. It
has spindles with it, too...

It is in very good running condition. The grandkids lost interest in it.
It has only been ran a few times in the last 2-3 years. Engine is a
6 1/2 HP Briggs Intek. Clutch is a Comet 30 TAV. It will haul a 250
pound man 35 mph up hill....

Is your kart all functional, does it have every part to make it run and is it

Sam
Did You get the emails I sent You to Your regular email with the drawings
attached? If not let Me know and I will try again! I dont want to post these on
the internet because if the buggy works out good I plan to have a friend who is
a draftsman redraw it so I can sell the plans.

Sam The 300cc engine should be fine and if You later decide that more power is
needed then You can allways put a bigger one on!
Sounds like You have a great shop! Should be no truble building a kart in that
kind of shop. Thanks for the offer to make something for Me! If the shipping
from the UK to the USA wasent so outragious i might take You up on it. I have a
verry small shop with a 6in atlas lathe , a chineese mill/drill, a 4 1/2X6
bandsaw, bench grinder, drillpress, a manual tubeing bender, a mig welder and a
bunch of handtools. All cramed into a 8ftX10ft building!
So what are Your thoughts on suspension? How Big,1 or 2 seater?
What kind of tubeing do You have avalible to use?

Later

Hi George,
Thanks for your mail. Its great to be connected to you.
My son is 14. I already have a 300cc engine 4 stroke and automatic
transmission). However I am very much open to your suggestion about using the
more prowerful enginer..!
I would prefer mid sized cart.

I have my own shop having CNC milling and turning Centre, all kinds of weilding
sets, stamping presses, and other mechinical workshop. I would love to have it
build at my place.  In return to your help, please feel free to ask me to
produce any component withing my workshop capability to proude. I would be happy

I just wanted to let the members know that after being a dormant and mostly
inactive group member I've decided to do some posting and updating. I put the
updated pictures in an album: "Updated pics from My First Try" There are some
older pics from shortly after I built this creation, in another album. I
started building my kart in my grandparents basement by the way. Let me tell
you how thrilled they were about that. LOL But it kept me out of the bars at
night. Heres some specs; Motor:Kohler19KT Series2, Drive Clutch:Salsbury 1165,
Driven Clutch:Similiar type from UTV, Jackshaft:1" with Fafnir pillow block
bearings theres a spreader bar between jackshaft and input shaft to rear diff.,
Chain:#50, Front tires:22" Trail Wolves, Rear Tires:25" Trail Wolves,
Alternator:65-85 amp GM, Lights:x4, 55W, 4" driving lights, Rear Diff:I think
its a Dana 25 or something small like that it came from one of those parking
authority vehicles I found in a junkyard. I apologize for the legnth of this
post. Anybody can feel free to ask me any questions.
