Yeah the engine puts out 100hp stock and I've got a DynoJet Stage 1 with a K&N
air filter.
The driveline width (stock plans) are 48". Not sure what tires i'll use, but it
will be pretty wide (although I'll keep things as small as possible to navigate
a wider selection of trails).
As for other components I plan on using Porsche 930 cv's and Fox 2.0 shocks
($$).
Of course I need to finish the first buggy first. Plan on doing some final
grinding and welding this weekend....

Wow thats a huge engine... I guess the machine will be over 65" wide?
Since I've been slack at posting, the school project is now coming
along well... at least the one related to offroadgokarts (mini-baja).
we've developed another transmission for it this year.
last year's transmission was overbuilt... probably 3x as much steel as
we needed in gears. This years transmission will be about 50%
lighter. The car is already 70-80lbs lighter..... at least in the
computer. Thats a big savings when you have to use a 10hp briggs.
I put a picture up on the main page of last year's car during the test
stage.

an off-road buggy based on the DesertKarts Panther chassis. Frame
will be 1 1/4" x .095" DOM. Already have the engine, a 2003 Honda
VTR1000F Superhawk.
