How heavy do you plan on making this kart finished with the engine,
gas and driver? I have built heavy karts using a solid axle with a
motorcycle engine and every one has snapped the axle. I would
reccomend that you go the extra distance and engineer an independent
rear suspension with bushings on all suspension parts front and
rear. I am currently in the process of making the rear suspension
and intend to use CV joints and a 1 inch solid axle or probably a
machined hub from desert karts for the center carrier.
