Ok here is the deal. This is a all time low for the R6 build.I have
been working on the drive cassette.At this point including the CVs i
have about $300.00 into the cassette,The plans call for 8 large NTN
bearings, Holy crap after a week on searching i finnaly found them.
Ready for this,Are you sitting down is what the salesman asked me
before he told me the price, $477.49 EACH, Yes i said $477.49 EACH X
8 needed = $3776.00 USD for 8 friggin bearings.Ah dont think so.
I dont know what to do but i am 1 step for quitting the whole
project.Everything was going so well, Got my CV,s and axels,Got most
of the sprockets and other bearings and even had my parts set up to
be water jet cut on monday.
There is no way i see anyone spending that kind of money on 8
bearings.I could buy 2 of the RPM reverse gear box's for just the
bearing cost.
Here is where i need you guys.If anyone knows anyone or anywhere to
get a better price or has another idea i am all ears, If all else
fails you could even make me a offer on everything i have including
the motor and i will just enjoy the summer on the sidewinder.

The large 125 x 100 x 13 CV bearings are single row radial ball
bearings. I can't seem to find the NTN part #, as they don't have a
part # search facility, but they do make them, as I've used that
brand before. The Koyo part # is 8620, the SKF part # is 61820-2RZ
(the 2RZ only refers to 2 seals - one each side):

Basically the bearing should show up in any manufacturers catalogue
with the numbers 6820 as part of the serial number: the bearing is a
6000 series bearing, and the 820 (or 1820 in the case of the SKF
bearing) relate to its size. Your bearing seller should be able to
locate the bearing from the dimensions alone.
