Re: [Official Jets Club] A really rough start

I agree with almost everything u said, but like u said, while it was a
disturbing loss, theres still 15 games left, and lets face, we have probably one
of the toughest road schedules in the league. I think the jets have been
listening to the media alittle too much, about how this is the year to take over
the pats, i fear they may have been a tad too overconfident, no one anticipated
KC to have such a good defense as well, but the jets lost that game themselves,
how many fumbles were there?? They looked totally unprepared for the task ahead
of themselves, KC is one of the toughest places to win in the NFL. I dont think
Buffalo and Miami are as good as their victories yesterday, I am confident we
will rebound next week against the Fins, and Herm will whip dem boys into shape
this week. That was one of our most demoralizing and disgusting game they have
played in quite a while, at least usually, when we lose, we are in the game at
some point, but it didnt seem that way yesterday. I
still believe better days are ahead this season, and we will rebound strongly
next week at home.

While I am not an alarmist, I am very concerned by what I saw
yesterday. The Jets were physically beaten on both sides of the
ball. When we were able to move the football (three trips into the
red zone) we imploded and came away with nothing. Our kicker even
slipped on the turf. This was the worst perfromance of any team
coahed by Herman Edwards.

While I know there are peopole out there that want to blame Herm,
Herm did not fumble the ball, herm did not make bad shotgun snaps,
Herm did not slip on the field goal try. Herm did not drop passes.
Herm did not fail to pick up the bliz nor did hem fail tto run block.
If we can't run the ball we are going to have problems.

Furthermore, while I like Chad and Inever thought I would say this, I
probably would have benched him at some point in the third quarter.
Let's face it folks, it just was not his day.

If our perfromance does not drastically improve next week against the
Dolphins, then Jets fans be very concerned.

What most disapointing is that in the year we belived we could make a
run at the Pats, we start out at the bottom of the division. (I know
it is only one game, but it looked like a game played in the dark
days of the Rich Kotite era. They almost faked us out at the end of
the first half by rushing to the line in the closing seconds to try
to burn us for a deep pass) Both the Fins and the Bills looked good
in their wins yesterday.
