MowerRacer is looking for reporters!

Become part of a team that is working towards bringing the lawnmower
racing community together.

Now, just because you submit yourself with all the to be considered
parts, does not mean you are automatically the reporter for that group.
We are going to choose the best of the best for MowerRacer.

And remember, if no one reports for your group, it is not our fault. I
watch every group I can everyday, but that doesn't mean something won't
slip by me. It happens to the best of us. And I'm not out at the races
like you guys are!

Types of Articles
----------------------------------------
We're looking for the following types of articles:

* Interviews with fellow racers - we have a template that you can
follow.

* Race results - tell us what happened at your local race! We want to
know and we are sure other people want to know also.

* Upcoming events - add the upcoming events to our calendar. This is
available for everyone to do, but we want to make sure we get
everything.

* This is not a limiting list, if there's something else you see that
would be important, send it in!

Desired Skills

* Be a lawnmower racer - everyone on the team either races, or has
raced for a number of years.

* Send something in at least once every 2 weeks - it can be news from
the group, it can be an interview with someone from the group, as long
as we get something from you at least once every 2 weeks. It can be
more than that of course. But if we do not hear from you for 2 weeks,
we may start looking for a new reporter.

* Be active in your racing community - we are counting on you to bring
us the news from your racing community.

* Be a decent writer - you need to be able to make the story
interesting. Anyone can report the facts! We want you to draw your
readers in...

To be considered

* Tell us what group your with - we are only accepting 1 from each
group for now.

* Send us a sample of what you write like - something about lawnmower
racing preferable. Report about the last race you were at. It doesn't
have to be long, maybe a paragraph or two.

* Send us a paragraph of why we should choose you - Why you and not the
next guy in line? Make it interesting! What do you bring to the table?
Will you let us raid your cooler at the next race? Will you offer to
fly us to a tropical island? Be creative! But be honest, if you say
you'll fly me to Hawaii for free, I *WILL* take you up on that offer!

What do you get?

You get to become part of a group that is going places. We are looking
at doing alot more for lawnmower racing in the coming year and you are
going to want to be involved!

We offer no compensation. Sorry. We are all doing this for the love of
the sport and we expect the same from our reporters. As the site
becomes more established there may be perks here and there. We will let
you know as time goes along.
