Reply | Forward Message #838 of 1646 |
Hi,

Anneli and I and a few others are going to be doing this 43km loop ride Sunday
Oct 24th starting at noon from downtown NOTL. The The pace will be about 20kph.
The work out will be carrying all those bottles of wine in the panier sacks. The
technical riding will be trying to stay up right after tasting the wines at the
12 wineries along the route.

The itinerary and map link are listed below.

Please reply if you are coming and it you want me to include you in the post
ride dinner reservation. Unless others over ride me this will be at the NOTL
Golf Cours Club House restaurant as it has a breathtaking view river and lake
view.

We will meet at the Clock Tower in the Olde Town between 11:30 and 12 noon and
leave sharply at noon.

Niagara-on-the-Lake Winery Crawl (43 km loop)

This Grand Loop starts from the Clock Tower in the Olde Town and passes a number
of wineries on the way to the Welland Canal. Watch ships “climb the mountain”
before returning west to a leisurely cycle along the Niagara River Trail and
some more wineries. Stops of interest include the Printing Museum in Queenston,
the St. Catharines Museum (just south of the QEW Skyway 1km) and of course the
wineries.
