We have been approached by the organizers of the Mercedes Benz Oakville 10k to be lead riders for this event.
The event supports the United Way - with any random finisher getting a chance to win a new car!
We are looking for 3 to 4 riders - but you may want to run instead and win the car!
- if you are running, make sure to register early to save $ and get your T-shirt
The race will start and finish at Appleby College; and, includes a 10k run and 10k power walk (same course).
- the race starts at 8:00AM, so you have plenty of time after this event to pick up a ride

- they
are seeking 1-2 lead cyclists for the lead 10k runner, and a lead
cyclist for the lead power walker.
- there is a possibility that there will also be a sweep cyclist
- this will be a wholly paved route - so I would definitely recommend a road bike as I am sure the lead runners will be fasT1
Responsibilities for the lead riders are to ride ahead of the runners and ensure that the stay on the route
- the route is quite straight forward
Sweep is what it says - stay behind the people who are bringing up the rear and call in if there are any issues
- you will most likely have a radio supplied to you/us for the event
- this is a charity run so there will be people out there for the enjoyment of the Sunday morning air and scenery
I would advice that you ride to / from Appleby College as there is minimal parking at the school
It looks to be a great event! If you can help, please reply to me by the end of this week.
Many Thanks
