It’s Party time!

Just a reminder of the social evening and annual general meeting on Saturday, January 26 from 6.30 to 9 pm at the Kings Arms, 323 Church Street, Oakville in the upstairs room. The pub has a good menu, so I am sure there is something for everyone.

This is an opportunity for us all to get together and see each other off the bikes. It’s a time to brag a little and laugh a lot. It’s a time to have some good food and a beverage or two.  It is also a time to celebrate those members whose performances have been truly outstanding in the past year; to find out what happened in 2007 and what the plans are for 2008.

In addition to giving out awards we will also elect the OCC executive for 2008. Being on the executive is a tremendous opportunity for you to help set direction for the club and exercise your leadership muscles. A strong executive makes for a strong club.

The executive consists of the following positions:

• President*
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Clothing Coordinator*
• Membership Registrar*
• Recreational and Touring Events Coordinator
• Road and Time Trial Coordinator*
• Mountain Bike Coordinator

The asterisks (*) indicates that we do not yet have candidates for them. If you would like to nominate someone for a position, or are interested yourself in a role on the executive, could you please let me know by email.

We would like to have some idea as to how many are attending (and to make sure the bar doesn’t run out of beer), could you RSVP by Saturday, January 19.
