I'm forwarding Jeff's race report below. Amazing results for a tough fast
race, with many pro and elite riders out testing their fitness in this
classic race. I guess I'll have to take the plunge and convert to tubeless
so I won't have a flat spoiling the day. Better a flat though than Hung's
severe stomach problems that had him running into the bushes a couple of
times ... but he toughed it out and finished this tough race.

Subject: MTB Race Report - Cyclepath Oakville Race Team - Paris to Ancaster
Date: Thu, 13 Apr 2006 22:50:13 -0400
Another beautiful day for a bike race .... As always the Paris to Ancaster
60km Enduro is a good gauge of early season fitness. When the lineup
consists of almost 1100 racers (a record turnout) and includes names like
Sue Palmer-Komar, Mike Garrigan and Josh Hall you know you're in for a tough
race. Rich, Ryan and I broke the top 100. In this competitive classic,
that deserves podium bragging rights.
The course went the full 60km, about 5km longer than last year. Even with
the early spring there were the traditional mud slides. Enough to clog up
John's drivetrain and remind him why he's a roadie. Greg flatted but kept
his cool with a quick repair, finishing 8th in his age group ... and with
still gas in the tank, Greg road back to the start to pick up his bike!
