Weather Challenge Time Trial - The Good ... the Bad ...

Another perfect day for racing. This race course usually offers ice, snow
drifts and/or mud, river sections. The mild winter made the 7th Annual
Hilton Falls All Weather Challenge one of the fastest ever. The rocky
single track and bridge crossings offered the usual technical challenge but
the double track was fast with no snow or ice.

Hung and I both signed up for the long course. I had two great laps and was
glad to have my long travel trail bike. Hung started a ripping fast lap on
his new Gary Fisher 29er but blurped air on the last turn of lap one. To
make things worse he looked down to find that his CO2 pump fell off his bike
somewhere back on the course (The verdict is still out on the Stan's Rim
strips for 29" wheels).
