This series of races begins on April 22nd with a 30km course at
Zimmerman, close to Oakville. This series is designed to give members
both young and old a taste of racing and a chance to win. Each race is
handicapped based on past performance. If you have not raced before you
will start with the first group until we can see how you do. You may
find that you get as
much as 20 minutes start on other riders and you will always have
others in your group of a similar ability. If you would like to give
this style orf racing a try then come to the first race (details on the
website). If you want to come along and just take a look at how it
works then I would love to see you there and say "hi". By the way the
last pursuit race I rode was won by an 11 year old rider with his
mother in second place; third was the Provincial Masters champion who
could not quite make up the handicap before the finish line. That was
exciting to watch!!
