Results of 2006 BBWAA Hall of Fame Ballot

The list below contains the names and voting results for the 29 candidates who were eligible for the 2006 election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame via the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) election. In order to be elected, eligible candidates were required to garner at least 75% of the votes on ballots cast. With 520 ballots cast, candidates receiving 390 or more votes were elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Candidates receiving less than 5% of votes on ballots cast are not eligible for future BBWAA Hall of Fame elections. Thus, candidates receiving less than 26 votes will not appear on the BBWAA ballot in 2007. These individuals are denoted in italic type.
