The reason that the Mets are losing is not because of Jay Seo. The
reason is lack of production from Piazza, Floyd, Wright, and Phillips,
and Franco. I think that Stanton can produce if he pitches every third
day, instead of every day. So, what does stupid Duque do? He trades one
of our offensive weapons, 2 top minor league pitchers, and a top
catching prospect.
If the Mets were willing to trade any of Kazmir, Heillman, Peterson,
Huber, Reyes, or Wright, they could have gotten someone who would have
really helped the team to the tune of at least 10 games a year: Lou
Piniella, instead of that idiot Art Howe.
I blame all the bullpen woes on that jerk. Who says that a pitcher
can't throw more than 100 pitches? He worries about the pitch count for
starters, but doesn't care that he'll call on Mike Stanton for 3 or more
days in a row. Stanton has shown that he can still be an excellent
pitcher following only 2 days of rest.
We should have traded Peterson and Howe to Tampa Bay for Lou Piniella,
and kept Wiggington, Huber, and Kazmir.
As far as I'm concerned, the only Kazmir that we should have gotten rid
of is Kazmir Matsui.
