Just heard a joke on WFAN that since the Yanks haven't won (yet) since
beating the Mets in the 2000 World Series that there could be a
"Curse of the Metropolitans" obviously a spoof on the "Curse of the Bambino,
Billy Goat, ect" out there.

Of course with the year 2001 being the first year of the Metellenium
(The Millenium only with the Mets rulling the baseball world the way the
Yankees did in the 1900's) maybe things are starting to even out

Maybe...

It did take untill 1921 for the Yankees to make their first World Series
apperance, and 1923 to win their first championship
