The 3 worst positions for the Mets could have been filled competently
with ex-Mets:
1) Shortstop: McEwing=.143; Bell=.190; Sanchez=.119; Ordonez=.314 with
19rbi (and no protection in the lineup); Relaford (who I was pushing for
in the off-season)=.327.-------------------------------
2) First base: Vaughn=..206; Olerud=.299; Matt
Franco=.323-------------------------------
3) Centerfield: Perez=.239; Shinjo=.179; Cedeno=.194;
Payton=.309------------------

The only decent move that Phillips made was not signing Alfonzo.
