I was thinking that I'd like to watch the mets, but didn't want to watch
them lose so much, so I started thinking about my options. Then it came
to me. Now that I am getting the YES NETWORK, I can watch all the mets
in those pinstripe uniforms. Today, I watched Todd Zeile, Robin Ventura,
Bubba Trammel, closer Juan Acevedo, Joe Torre, Don Zimmer, and Mel
Stottlemeyer. It was 2-1 Twins when I turned it on. Then Nick Johnson
was robbed of a homer by one of the best 20 catches that I've ever seen.
But not to worry. Bernie Williams hit a homer in the same inning to put
the xMets up 3-2, and they won 4-2, with Acevedo getting the save.
Bernie Williams, Jr. (Jay Payton), is hitting his homers for Colorado
who are on a roll, winning today 10-9. But don't worry. We have Cedeno
instead of Payton, Sanchez instead of Ordonez or Arod, and Vaughn
instead of Olerud or Zeile. And who did we get for Payton? Oh yeah, John
Thomson who wasn't even tendered a contract by the Mets. Good move
Phillips. So I'll just watch the successful Mets on the YES network.
